Pincher Creek opens some recreation locations
Unless otherwise identified in public health orders or guidance, gatherings of:
  • more than 15 people are not allowed in one indoor location
  • more than 50 people are not allowed in one outdoor location

All gatherings under these limits must occur in a space that allows for mandated physical distancing of at least two metres from one another.

Alberta Health Services recommends taking precautions to protect yourself and those around you:
  • Practice good hygiene:
    • wash your hands frequently
    • refrain from touching your face with unclean hands
    • carry and use hand sanitizer
  • Wear a mask in public places to help limit the risk of spread to others if you will be within two metres of people other than members of your own household

If you are out in your recreational vehicle this May long weekend, please ensure you are emptying your septic tank into a sani dump. There is one available in Lundbreck.

As of this afternoon, the following recreation locations in the Town of Pincher Creek are open:
  • bike park
  • skate park
  • tennis court
  • dog parks
  • community gardens, parks and fields
  • basketball courts
  • disc golf course
It should be noted that all municipal public washrooms and playground structures will remain closed and league play on sports fields is not permitted.

At this time, all recreation locations in the MD of Pincher Creek and Village of Cowley remain closed.
