PCREMO offers local support by phone

This number is available for residents of the Town and MD of Pincher Creek and Village of Cowley to call if they do not have access to updates posted online.

Please share the number with anyone you know who may not have access to the Internet and to social media.

Cases of COVID-19, also known as coronavirus, have been identified in Alberta and in the south zone.

At this point there are no confirmed cases in Pincher Creek and area. Pincher Creek Regional Emergency Management Organization is monitoring the situation very closely.

The most critical measures Albertans can take to prevent respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19, are to practice good hygiene and social distancing.

This includes cleaning your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds, avoiding touching your face, coughing or sneezing into your elbow or sleeve, disposing of tissues appropirately and staying home and away from others if you are sick.

For recommendations on protecting yourself and your community, visit www.alberta.ca/COVID19

Shootin' the Breeze is committed to providing local news and to supporting the communities of Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass throughout the COVID-19 situation.

News releases and live press conferences are shared immediately on our Facebook page, but this website is the easiest and most organized way to quickly see new posts and information.

Please consider an online subscription as this is how you will continue to receive important community news not available elsewhere. There are still stories to tell, lives to celebrate, information to share and hope to be spread!

The cost is $35 per year (GST included) for 50 weekly issues of our community newspaper covering the Town and MD of Pincher Creek, Crowsnest Pass and Piikani Nation.

Our office is now closed to the public, but we continue working behind the scenes.

Subscription renewals/purchases, ad placements and accounts receivable payments can be processed by phoning 403-904-2227 with Visa or Mastercard, or by e-transferring to  accounts@shootinthebreeze.ca

If choosing the e-transfer option for a subscription purchase, please include your name, mailing address, email address and phone number in the message.

If you have any questions at all, please call Shannon at 403-904-2227 or 403-627-8829. You can also email publisher@shootinthebreeze.ca.

Be well, and thank you for supporting your local newspaper!
