Motor Vehicle Collision near Lundbreck
Crowsnest Pass RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 22 and Township Road 80, just north of Lundbreck on Thursday afternoon.

Preliminary investigation has revearled a car and SUV were heading northbound on Highway 22. Both vehicles lost control and collided after going into a ditch.

The 27-year-old male driver of the car from Calgary was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The two male occupants of the SUV suffered minor injuries and were released at the scene. *** Please note, the original RCMP press release said SUV occupants were a male and female; this was corrected with their final update tonight.

Slushy road conditions were reported at the time of the collision.

After single lane traffic for approximately five hours, both lanes of traffic were open by 8:40 p.m.

The name of the deceased will not be released. The cause of the collision remains under investigation and no further information is available.
