Welcome to Shootin' the Breeze!

The name "Shootin' the Breeze" is an indication of the neighbourly and positive writing style found in our publication and on our website.

Website features include an interactive version of the weekly paper, a current events blog with area news, photos and commentary, a regional business directory, an events calendar, and information about our parent company, Mountainside Printing.

The weekly print edition is found in the following communities: Pincher Creek, Crowsnest Pass, Waterton Lakes National Park, Beaver Mines, Bellevue, Blairmore, Brocket, Castle Mountain, Coleman, Cowley, Frank, Hillcrest, Lundbreck and Twin Butte.

The print edition is free and is distributed through a variety of businesses such as grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, libraries, recreational facilities, tourist information centres, professional office waiting rooms, and a multitude of retail locations.

The content of the publication is positive in nature, focussing on stories about individuals and groups, events, and attractions that are relevant in our coverage area.

The online blog to the right provides a place to share information passed on through press releases and messages from our readers mixed in with individual stories from the print edition. This is a great place to share sports scores and short notices and we welcome submissions.

We believe our readers know best the kind of articles they would like to see in our publication, and welcome submissions of stories and photos along with ideas about a neighbour who deserves recognition.

The paper is posted online in an easy to read format each week, and an archive of previous issues is available.

The online version is interactive, meaning that live links are available for email and website addresses directly from the advertisements and stories.

The online version also has additional pages not available in the print edition – such as additional photos and information relevant to stories in the print edition and syndicated material.

For our advertisers, Shootin' the Breeze provides widespread coverage through one publication. One of our best features is the quality of colour produced by our digital press. The quality of the production is consistent, and the brand of your business is effective when the colours are true.

Many advertising options are available. Basic information is available below, or you can contact our office at 403-904-2227 or ads@shootinthebreeze.ca for details.

Mountainside Printing is our parent company, and we're pleased to be able to create everything from business cards to personal calendars and photo reproductions to magazines from our shop located in Pincher Creek.

As a locally owned business we care about our community and the area surrounding us.

We're proud that all aspects of creating and printing Shootin' the Breeze and our commercial printing operation, Mountainside Printing, are achieved locally.

Let's shoot the breeze!
